Our photography team are specialists in clinical photography. We provide high quality photographs taken in the department's studio and on location throughout the Trust.

Clinical Photography

  • To improve patient care by accurately recording (often over a period of days, months or years) the physical appearance of the condition and / or treatment.

  • As an aid to diagnosis: Specific tests can be recorded photographically and then reviewed after the event e.g. Flourescein Angiography is used to confirm a diagnosis of several opthalmic conditions. Clinical photographs enable clinicians to study the appearance of a variety of symptoms e.g. inside the oral cavity and the retinal fundus.
  • To assist in the education and training of healthcare professionals by providing material that can be directly used to support teaching.
